The Gift of "Right Now": Faith, Family, and the Beauty of the WFH Life
We often hear that "time flies," but when you’re watching a child grow, it feels more like time has wings and a turbo engine. One day they’re learning to crawl toward your desk, and the next, they’re asking you deep questions about the world while you’re trying to finish a spreadsheet.
I’ve been thinking a lot lately about how blessed I am to be right here, in the thick of it.
The Beauty of the "Home Office"
Working from home isn't just about the luxury of wearing yoga pants or skipping the morning commute. For me, the real blessing is presence. Being tucked away in my home office means I don’t have to miss the spontaneous giggles or the "look at this!" moments that define the growing years. I get to be a provider and a present parent simultaneously. It’s a juggle, absolutely—and my coffee is usually cold by 10:00 AM—but it’s a juggle I wouldn't trade for anything.
Provision with a Purpose
I am deeply mindful that my ability to work and earn is a gift. My goal has never been just about "making a living"; it’s about making an impact.
For my daughter: I want to give her the best—not just material things, but the best of my time, my energy, and a front-row seat to what a strong work ethic looks like.
For others: Earning enough to be a blessing to those around us is where the real joy lies. Wealth is meant to flow through us, not just to us.
A Testimony of Timing
If there is one thing this journey has taught me, it’s that God is the ultimate Provider. There were seasons where the path wasn't so clear, but looking back, I see His hand in every transition. Living faithfully means trusting that He knows exactly what we need before we even ask. He doesn’t just provide the "stuff"; He provides the opportunities, the strength, and the perfect timing.
"He has made everything beautiful in its time." — Ecclesiastes 3:11
I’m leaning into this season of life with a grateful heart. Everything is falling into place, not because of my own hustle, but because of His grace.
Reflecting on Your Own Journey
To anyone else navigating the "working parent" life: take a breath. You don’t have to do it all perfectly; you just have to be there. Trust the timing of your life, keep your heart open to blessing others, and remember that the work you do within your four walls is just as important as the work you do for the world.
