A look back at an afternoon of learning, collaboration, and startup building as DOST-TUPV HIVE Cohort 6 gathered for Pre-Incubation Session 2: MVP and TRL!

Led by Engr. Jovel V. Young, Project Leader of BUGLAS NIR and DOST-TUPV HIVE, the session brought together Cohort 6 registrants from across Negros Occidental for a focused discussion on Design Thinking, Minimum Viable Products (MVP), and Technology Readiness Levels (TRL).

The participants explored how to better understand the needs of their target users, define the problems they aim to solve, develop and validate their MVPs, and determine the current readiness of their technologies.

Through meaningful discussions and hands-on learning, the session encouraged the cohort to challenge their assumptions, refine their ideas, and take practical steps toward developing solutions that are not only innovative, but also relevant, viable, and ready for further development.

More than just a session, it was another opportunity for Cohort 6 to connect, learn from one another, and strengthen their foundations as emerging innovators and startup builders.

𝗛𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗡𝗼𝘄 | Startup Ecosystem and Innovation Bootcamp

The Startup Ecosystem and Innovation Bootcamp officially commenced with opening remarks from Engr. Jovel V. Young, Project Leader of BUGLAS NIR, who welcomed participants and emphasized the importance of strengthening the region's innovation and startup ecosystem through collaboration, capacity building, and entrepreneurial mindset.

The program then transitioned to Session 1: Navigating the Ecosystem & Opportunity Mapping, facilitated by John Dee Gonos, MBA. The session provides participants with a deeper understanding of the macro-level dynamics of startup growth, helping them identify local market opportunities while navigating the startup ecosystem, government support mechanisms, and innovation policies that enable startup success.
