Cenpri

Cenpri CENPRI was established by Energreen Power Inter-Island Corp. The Plant uses waste heat recovery systems for better fuel efficiency and environmental compliance.

to be the project company for its 15-year, 18.9MW Peak and Reserve power supply services contract with the Central Negros Electric Cooperative (CENECO). The Project will improve power reliability in CENECO’s Service area by providing supplementary power supply during peaking times and emergencies when there are shortages and grid problems in the Visayas. It is also intended to reduce CENECO’S tota

l dependence on the Wholesale Electricity Spot Market which spikes to as much as P32 per kwh. CENECO is protected by its contracted price with CENPRI which is P6.80 to P10 per kwh depending on diesel prices. Reliability also comes from its close proximity to Bacolod that avoids the long transmission lines in the Visayas that can be congested or constrained, and cause power interruptions. CENPRI has five (5) engines totalling a net capacity of 25MW at its plant located in Brgy Calumangan, Bago City, Negros Occidental, about 16 kilometers south of Bacolod City. It operates 24/7 and is connected to the Visayan Grid through the 69kv San Enrique transmission line of the National Grid Corp of the Philippines. Energreen Power is a specialist in providing niche power generation services in the islands with power plants in Oriental Mindoro, Palawan, and Catanduanes. It has a business services office in Bacolod City for customer, finance, and procurement support activities. CENPRI has a grid connection agreement with NGCP, is a registered market participant in the Visayan Wholesale Electricity Spot Market, and is duly approved by the DENR and ERC. It is connected to the Visayan Grid with redundant communications systems and emergency power. Energreen and CENPRI are looking to be a long term provider of power grid reliability services to the fast growing economy of Bacolod and its adjoining Cities of Silay, Talisay, Bago, and Municipality of Murcia, and aim to deliver on its winning service commitment to its customers through a strong team of well-trained and committed professionals, most of whom are from the talent pool in Central Negros.
