𝐀𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐄𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦: 𝐏𝐨𝐬𝐭-𝐓𝐲𝐩𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐧 𝐑𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲 𝐀𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞

Supporting recovery beyond our business operations, Austal Philippines donated printers and laptops to Nangka Elementary School - one of the most affected schools during Typhoon Tino.

𝐑𝐮𝐧 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐋𝐨𝐯𝐞, 𝐑𝐮𝐧 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐭 – 𝐕𝐚𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐞’𝐬 𝐒𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝟓𝐊𝐌 𝐅𝐮𝐧 𝐑𝐮𝐧 ❤️🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️

On February 21, AP hosted a Valentine’s celebration that blended fitness and love.

After a warm‑up, the gunstart at 6:15 AM sent runners off on a 5KM route within the PEZA zone, passing through six stations and collecting color‑coded ribbons to mark their progress.

Participants joined either solo or with a loved one, honoring both individual strength and the joy of sharing the run with a loved one.
After the race, participants enjoyed cool‑down activities, refreshments, and a raffle draw where 10 lucky winners received exciting vouchers 🎟️

𝐀𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐂𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐲 𝐇𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐬:

Our heartfelt gratitude to all the AP Employees who took part of the Blood Donation Drive last Saturday, 07 February 2026.

Because of your kindness and generosity, we collected 30 bags of blood – which can create a life-changing impact to those who need it.

AP would also like to extend its gratitude to the Department of Health (DOH) Region VII and Balamban Rural Health Unit (RHU) for their invaluable assistance. We look forward to more partnerships in the future through more life-saving initiatives.

🚢 Metal cut for the future of sustainable ferries

Austal has officially commenced construction of 'Horizon X', the next-generation high-speed ferry for Gotlandsbolaget, with a plate cutting ceremony held on 5 February 2026 at our Austal Philippines shipyard in Balamban, Cebu.

Hosted by Austal Asia President Wayne Murray, the milestone was celebrated by Austal Limited CEO Paddy Gregg and Gotlandsbolaget CEO Björn Nilsson; joined by Gotlandsbolaget's Deputy CEO, Håkan Johansson and Head of New Buildings, Jonas Moberg and Austal’s Executive Vice President Sales and Strategy Oliver Morton - recognising both the start of build activity and the strengthening partnership between our organisations.

'Horizon X' will be a 130-metre, hydrogen-ready high-speed catamaran — the largest vessel ever contracted to Austal — designed to carry up to 1,500 passengers and 400 vehicles, and capable of operating on multiple fuel types as alternative fuels and infrastructure evolve.

Mr Gregg said achieving meaningful decarbonisation in commercial shipping would require a flexible, technology-agnostic approach.
“There is no single solution that fits every operator or route,” Mr Gregg said.

“Long-term success in decarbonisation will come from flexible fuel and technology solutions that allow operators to adapt as alternative fuels mature and infrastructure develops. Horizon X has been designed with that flexibility at its core.”

Built using lightweight green aluminium, Horizon X represents a major step forward in efficient, flexible and future-ready ferry design, supporting Gotlandsbolaget’s long-term climate-neutral goals.

📅 Delivery is scheduled for mid-2028, with hull fabrication commencing in the first half of 2026.

Austal Philippines successfully concluded the BNHS TVL Immersion Program through the Students Completion Ceremony on Friday, January 16, 2026, held at the PSO Training Building.

The event formally marked the completion of the SMAW students’ two-month work immersion program, celebrating their dedication, learning journey, and achievements throughout their engagement with the organization.

The ceremony was graced by the presence of key representatives from Buanoy National High School (BNHS), including the School Principal and Immersion Coordinators.

The event also served as an expression of appreciation to the mentors, supervisors, and internal stakeholders whose guidance and support played a vital role in shaping a meaningful and impactful immersion experience for the students. Their collective efforts ensured a safe, supportive, and enriching learning environment throughout the program.
