Batangas State University, through its Center for Innovation in Engineering Education (CIEE), proudly recognizes its partner, the Centre for Engineering Education UTM (Universiti Teknologi Malaysia), for its significant role in co-leading the BatStateU trademarked OBEE National Training Series under the National Engineering Education Development (NEED) Program.
Most recently, the VisayasโMindanao Leg (Batch 3) of the OBEE National Training Series was conducted on October 14โ17, 2025, at the Belmont Hotel Mactan, Lapu-Lapu City, Cebu, gathering 65 participants from 33 HEIs mostly from the Visayas and Mindanao regions, along with select representatives from Luzon).
This VisMin Leg marked the 3rd and final installment of the 2025 OBEE National Training Series, following the Luzon Leg (Batch 2) held on June 2โ5, 2025, at Kingsford Hotel, Paraรฑaque City, and the foundational series (Part 1 and Part 2) conducted from December 9โ11, 2024, and February 4โ5, 2025, respectively, at Paraรฑaque and Batangas State University Pablo Borbon Campus, respectively.
Collectively, these earlier batches engaged over 220 engineering deans and program chairs from across Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao, strengthening institutional competencies in curriculum design, program assessment, and continuous quality improvement (CQI).
We extend our appreciation to Prof. Dr. Shahrin Mohammad and Dr. Nurzal Effiyana Ghazali of UTM CEE, who have co-developed and co-delivered the OBEE modules alongside the BatStateU OBEE team led by CIEE Director Prof. Divina Gracia D. Ronquillo, with supports from the national government, Commission on Higher Education (CHED) and the Philippine Technological Council (PTC).
Together, we continue to build a stronger, outcome-based foundation for Philippine engineering education!
