Driving Progress Forward: TVIRD-BGSP Strengthens Operations with 20 New Sitrak Dump Trucks

TVI Resource Development Phils., Inc. – Balabag Gold-Silver Project (TVIRD-BGSP) marked another milestone with the turnover of twenty (20) new Sitrak dump trucks on May 21, 2026 at its mine site at Sitio Balabag, Brgy. Depore, Bayog, Zamboanga del Sur.

The turnover ceremony was attended by key officers of TVIRD-BGSP and Civic Merchandising Inc., Sitrak Dump Truck Distributor.

This fleet expansion reflects TVIRD-BGSP’s continued commitment to strengthening its operational capacity through reliable and efficient heavy equipment. The new dump trucks are expected to support hauling activities, improve productivity, and contribute to the smooth and safe implementation of site operations.

As TVIRD-BGSP continues to advance its operations, investments like this demonstrate the company’s dedication to operational excellence, safety, and sustainable growth for the benefit of its workforce, stakeholders, and host communities.

As the sun rises over the rolling hills of TVIRD’s Balabag Project, Earth Day 2026 begins with a renewed commitment to responsible mining that truly cares for the environment.

Across all TVIRD project sites, the Earth Day celebrations served as a powerful reminder that environmental protection is a collective duty – one that requires the active participation of employees, partners, and stakeholders alike.

Each initiative emphasized that sustainability begins with everyday choices and grows stronger when people work together. And that is the spirit behind “Our Power, Our Planet” – empowering people to make responsible choices that would hopefully make a dent – and ultimately elevate their contributions to the ranks of the greater global community.

TVI Resource Development Phils., Inc. – Balabag Gold-Silver Project (TVIRD-BGSP) successfully conducted the 1st Quarter Representative of Host and Neighboring Communities (RHNC) Meeting on May 15, 2026, at Queen Eve’s Reception Hall. The meeting served as a venue to present updates on the implementation of SDMP and infrastructure-related projects, strengthening transparency and collaboration between the company and the host and neighboring communities.
The activity also included a field inspection at Brgy. Pulangbato and a sharing of observations among participants. Through the quarterly RHNC meeting, TVIRD-BGSP continues to strengthen partnerships and promote sustainable community development.

TVIRD Group Cited for Lower Emission Logistics Under DHL GoGreen Plus

For mining operations such as TVIRD’s and Greenstone’s, logistics is inseparable from daily work. Equipment, parts, supplies, and documents move in and out of remote sites continuously — each shipment keeping the company in motion. It is also where emissions quietly build up, one package and one shipment at a time.

That often-overlooked layer of movement recently took center stage for TVIRD and Greenstone Resources Corporation, whose respective Balabag and Siana projects received the DHL Express Philippines GoGreen Plus Award for participating in lower-emission shipping initiatives.

Solar energy has steadily evolved from a niche, experimental technology into a practical component of modern operations. Once regarded as an expensive and idealistic “green” alternative, it is now a reliable energy solution adopted by households and industries alike. What was once considered the future of energy has become a present-day necessity, shaping how we power modern life.

This transition is especially critical in areas where the electricity supply remains unstable or costly. For industries, such uncertainty is more than an inconvenience, often translating into operational delays, downtime, and increased production pressure. In this context, the TVI Resource Development Philippines Inc. (TVIRD) Group is advancing its energy resilience strategy through the installation of a 5.3-megawatt-peak (MWp) solar power facility at its Siana Gold Project, which it manages under Greenstone Resource Corporation.

Embate saying the initiative enhances class participation and aligns with education priorities, as the company continues to support schools alongside its Balabag Gold-Silver Project operations.
