God Is My Salvation
Isaiah 12:2
Behold, God is my salvation. I will trust, and will not be afraid; for Yah, Yahweh, is my strength and song. He also has become my salvation.”
Isaiah 12:2 is a declaration of confident trust in God. The prophet does not merely say that God gives salvation—he says, “God is my salvation.”
Salvation is not found in human effort, religious performance, or earthly security. It is found in the Lord Himself. Because of that, Isaiah can say, “I will trust, and will not be afraid.”
Fear loses its control when our confidence rests in God’s character and power. The same God who saves also strengthens and sustains His people.
Notice the personal language throughout the verse: “my salvation,” “my strength,” “my song.” Faith is not distant or abstract. God becomes the believer’s source of security, joy, and worship. Even in uncertain circumstances, His people can sing because He remains faithful.
This verse also points forward to the ultimate salvation found in Jesus Christ. Through Him, believers are rescued from sin and brought into lasting peace with God.
Life Application:
When fear or uncertainty rises, remind yourself where your salvation and strength truly come from. Choose to trust God instead of giving control to anxiety. Let His faithfulness become the foundation of your confidence and worship.

Lord, thank You for being my salvation and my strength. Help me, God, to trust in You instead of living in fear. Fill my heart with joy and peace. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
