NASIPIT, AGUSAN DEL NORTE | August 20, 2026 - The Agusan del Norte Electric Cooperative, Inc. (ANECO) extended its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) efforts to Nasipit National High School through a feeding activity held today, Thursday, August 20, 2026, bringing together ANECO officials, school administrators, teachers, parents, and students in an initiative centered on community support and youth welfare.
The activity was made possible through the support of Dr. Ruben D. Parpan, Jr., School Principal I, along with the schoolโs teachers and Parent-Teachers Association (PTA) officers, who actively participated in ensuring the success of the outreach program.
The program commenced with welcome remarks from Mr. Alexander I. Maaba, SST III/OIC, followed by a series of messages from ANECO and school representatives.
The activity was graced by members of the ANECO Board of Directors, led by BOD President Manuelito C. Suan, together with BOD Vice-President Romeo J. Gumadlas, Director Rudolfo Ranuco, and Director Jansheer Louie Chan. The Board members also took part in the distribution of food to the students.
In her message, Atty. Rhodora O. Lim, Manager of the Corporate Communications and Public Relations Office Department, underscored the importance of initiatives that directly benefit the communities served by the cooperative. She emphasized that ANECOโs CSR programs form part of its broader commitment to being a responsible and responsive partner in community development. She further noted that the choice of Nasipit National High School as the recipient of the feeding activity was also anchored on the partnership established between ANECO and the school during the conduct of the cooperativeโs Youth Electricity Savers Advocacy (YESA) Orientation. Through the YESA program, ANECO has been able to engage with students and promote awareness on responsible electricity use, energy conservation, and electrical safety, further strengthening the cooperativeโs relationship with the school community.
BOD President Manuelito C. Suan likewise shared a message emphasizing the cooperative's continuing commitment to its member-consumer-owners and the communities within its franchise area.
For his part, Dr. Ruben D. Parpan, Jr. expressed his appreciation for ANECO's initiative and the support extended to the students of Nasipit National High School. He also shared a message that underscored the importance of personal determination and taking an active role in shaping one's future. โ๐ฐ ๐

A response message was also delivered by SSLG President Redchi P. Manulat, representing the students of Nasipit National High School.
The program continued with the Giving of Certificates and a Zumba activity, providing an opportunity for students, teachers, parents, and guests to participate in a lively and engaging activity before proceeding to the main highlight of the event - the feeding activity proper.
The food served to the students was prepared with the assistance of selected parents who are members of the school's PTA officers. ANECO Board members led the distribution of the meals, with the cooperation of school personnel and parent volunteers.
The successful conduct of the activity highlighted the value of collaboration among the cooperative, the school, parents, and students. More than simply providing meals, the initiative served as an avenue for strengthening community partnerships and demonstrating the spirit of service that lies at the heart of the cooperative movement.
Through its continuing CSR initiatives, ANECO remains committed to extending meaningful support beyond its core responsibility of providing electricity, particularly through programs that contribute to the welfare and development of the communities it serves.
