A story of faith, perseverance, and vocation.

On May 25, Rev. Neil Caag was ordained to the Presbyterate at the Archdiocesan Shrine and Parish of St. Raphael the Archangel by Most Rev. Archbishop Gilbert Garcera, D.D., officially becoming Rev. Fr. Neil.

A former SLTEC scholar from 2015-2024, Fr. Neil spent years in seminary formation before reaching this significant milestone in his vocation. His priestly ordination carried the theme, “As the Father has loved me, so I have loved you. Remain in my love.” (John 15:9)

His ordination is especially meaningful for the parish community, being only the sixth priest produced by the Shrine and Parish of St. Raphael the Archangel in Calaca.

SLTEC is honored to have been part of Fr. Neil’s journey and to witness the fulfillment of a vocation dedicated to serving God and others.

Cleaner river, stronger commitment. 🌿

SLTEC volunteers and interns came together for its Q2 river clean-up activity in Brgy. Sinisian last May 8, collecting 29.5 kilograms of waste to help protect and preserve the local waterway.

Compared to previous clean-up activities, the lower volume of collected waste marks a 40% decrease from the previous 50 kilograms collected in Q1, which is an encouraging sign of a cleaner river and growing environmental awareness in the area. 💙

𝟏𝟐𝟗 𝐒𝐦𝐢𝐥𝐞𝐬 𝐁𝐫𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐢𝐧 𝐁𝐫𝐠𝐲. 𝐒𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐚𝐧! 🩺

Health is wealth, and we’re bringing it closer to home. SLTEC recently held the Kasagpi Medical Mission in Brgy. Sinisian, Calaca, reaching 129 of our neighbors with free check-ups and medicines.

From our lolas and lolos monitoring their blood sugar to the little ones seeing a pediatrician, it was a day filled with care and bayanihan. Aside from free consultations, everyone went home with multivitamins and essential meds to keep them healthy.

Huge shoutout to the amazing team that helped us:

🍲 Calaca CHO for the doctors and warm meals via the Kusina Caravan
💊 Generika Drugstore for the FBS testing and medicine support
👩‍⚕️ OLCMC & TLMS doctors for volunteering their expertise
🩹 Brgy. Health Workers for keeping everything running smoothly

We are grateful to serve a community that looks out for one another. Here’s to a healthier, stronger Calaca.
