An earth leakage circuit breaker is a circuit breaker that is responsible for shutting off the circuit before an electric shock accident or fire occurs as a result of earth leakage.

Its common abbreviation is ELCB (Earth Leakage Circuit Breaker), and it is indicated as “NV” in our company’s model names.

Our earth leakage circuit breaker is generally composed of a ZCT (Zero-phase-sequence Current Transformer) + Earth leakage relay + Circuit breaker.

The ZCT detects earth leakage current, notifies the electronic circuit, and shuts off the circuit using an internal tripping device.
