At Rotterdam, biodiesel prices recently fell as low as US$985 per metric ton — roughly ₱54.40/L using an indicative conversion based on biodiesel density and the current peso-dollar exchange rate.

But remember: this is a Rotterdam market price.

A new report says Indonesia’s B50 biodiesel mandate is expected to continue supporting demand for palm oil through 2027.

But beyond palm oil prices, there is a bigger story:

With an estimated production cost of around ₱8 per liter, it provides a practical pathway for businesses and communities to produce their own fuel from available oils.
