The morning opened with inspiring messages from Engr. Kristoffer Manuel Colinares, Engr. Lucy D. Francisco (President, PICE Samar Chapter), and Dr. Ronald L. Orale. PICE SSU-SC President Jilla Mae Espelita then introduced the resource speaker, Engr. Edsel Barandinoโ€”an Ireland-based Civil Engineer and Project Manager at Cairn Homesโ€”who led an insightful two-hour session on European civil engineering practices and sustainable project management.

An interactive open forum followed, where students and faculty engaged directly with the speaker. Afterwards, certificates of appreciation were awarded to acknowledge the contributions of the speakers and guests. Engr. H**e C. Uy, Dean of the College of Engineering, delivered closing remarks emphasizing engineering integrity and global competence. The event concluded with a commemorative group photo.

A heartfelt thank you to Engr. Edsel Barandino for sharing his expertise and global perspectives, as well as to the guest engineers, faculty, and student attendees whose active participation made this colloquium a resounding success.
