Our “Solar Essentials” learning path is perfect for those curious and seeking a career in the solar industry. This learning path is comprised of eight (8) online courses that cover the Technical Fundamentals of solar photovoltaic (PV) systems. Undergoing this learning path will give you a comprehensive understanding of the technical aspects of solar PV systems. The “Solar Installation Training” path prepares for their first solar PV installation. The learning path takes around 3 months to complete and consists of eight courses covering Technical Fundamentals, three courses on Solar Design, two courses on Solar Installation, five courses on Solar Business, and OpenSolar modules. At the end of the program, learners are required to take a final exam to demonstrate their mastery of the course content. For those who prefer a hybrid format, our “Solar Installation and Business Training” learning path provides online theoretical courses that are self-paced and two days of in-person training sessions. This learning path takes around 4 months to complete and covers technical fundamentals, solar design and installation, solar business, and OpenSolar modules. Similarly, learners in this learning path are required to undergo a final examination prior to completion. At NEA, we always strive to offer the best training and certification to position you as an expert in the cleantech industry. This 3-week program equips you with the practical, workplace-ready skills needed to safely operate, maintain, and troubleshoot residential PV systems, including grid-tied, off-grid, and hybrid configurations.

Here is what the blended learning pathway looks like:

Part 1: Online Theoretical Training
👉 Complete 14 days of self-paced online courses starting July 20.

You will master four core areas: Workplace Health and Safety, Maintenance, Fault Finding and Troubleshooting, and Testing and Verification.

Part 2: Hands-On Practical Training
👉 Join us for an intensive 8-hour in-person session on August 8 in Dipolog City.

You will get real-world experience with online monitoring systems, O&M instrument demonstrations, site safety setups, and resolving common O&M issues.

By the end of the program, you will confidently use diagnostic tools, implement proactive maintenance schedules, and apply standardized safety protocols to ensure the long-term reliability of solar installations.
