Cyanuric acidโ€™s job is to protect chlorine from the sun. While it can slightly lower pH, itโ€™s not a pH reducer.

But thereโ€™s another issue many pool owners donโ€™t know about: when cyanuric acid levels get too high, chlorine can become less effectiveโ€”a condition commonly known as ๐œ๐ก๐ฅ๐จ๐ซ๐ข๐ง๐ž ๐ฅ๐จ๐œ๐ค.
