Think about everything happening behind the walls and above the ceilings of a building. There are air-conditioning ducts, electrical lines, plumbing pipes, equipment, and other systems all sharing the same space.
Without proper coordination, these systems can easily get in each otherโs way.
A pipe might end up where a duct needs to go. Electrical lines could interfere with other building services. Sometimes, there may not even be enough space to properly install or maintain the equipment.
Thatโs why MEP coordination is such an important part of the design process.
By coordinating mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems early, potential problems can be spotted and resolved before they reach the construction site. It means fewer unexpected changes, less rework, and a smoother construction process.
At ๐๐๐ฆ๐ฆ ๐ฃ๐, we believe good engineering isnโt only about designing each system well. Itโs also about making sure all those systems work together as one complete building.
