𝐌𝐚𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐬 𝐧𝐚 𝐚𝐧𝐠 𝐧𝐞𝐭 𝐦𝐞𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐫𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧!

Sa direktiba ng Pangulo na pabilisin at palawakin ang Net-Metering Program, pinabilis na ang serbisyo para sa mga Pilipinong nais gumamit ng sariling renewable energy. Sa pangunguna ng Department of Energy (DOE) at sa pamamagitan ng whole-of-government approach kasama ang DILG, DPWH, at ERC, pinaiikli ang proseso ng permits, pinapasimple ang mga requirements, at pinapalawak ang benepisyo para sa mga konsyumer.

Sa ilalim ng Joint Memorandum Circular, inatasan ang mga LGU na maglabas ng 𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐦𝐢𝐭𝐬 𝐬𝐚 𝐥𝐨𝐨𝐛 𝐥𝐚𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐠 𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐥𝐨𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐰 𝐚𝐭 𝐂𝐞𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐅𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐄𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐈𝐧𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐬𝐚 𝐥𝐨𝐨𝐛 𝐧𝐠 𝐩𝐢𝐭𝐨𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐰. Kapag hindi nakasunod sa itinakdang panahon, ituturing na “deemed approved” ang aplikasyon. Inutusan rin ng ERC ang mga distribution utilities na bawasan at i-standardize ang dokumentong hinihingi, kabilang ang pagtanggap ng electronic signatures at hindi na kinakailangang notarization.

Bilang dagdag na tugon sa panawagan ng Pangulo, naglabas ang DOE ng Supplemental Policy na mas nagpapalakas sa benepisyo ng net-metering: mananatili na sa end-users ang Renewable Energy Certificates na maaari nilang ipagbili, at maaari na ring pagsamahin ang net-metering credits ng maraming accounts para mas malaki ang matipid.

☀️ Japan to Test Solar Power From Space in 2025 🚀

Japan is planning a big test in 2025 called OHISAMA. A small satellite will be launched into space with solar panels to collect sunlight. The energy will be changed into microwaves and sent down to Earth, where it will be turned back into electricity.

This first test will only make about 1 kilowatt—enough to run small appliances. But the goal is much bigger: to show that space solar power can give clean energy all the time, without weather or night stopping it. If successful, this could be the start of future large clean-energy systems.

Australia is testing a new way to fight two big problems at once — the need for clean energy and the loss of water from dams. The idea is to place solar panels on top of the water instead of on land.

When solar panels float on dams, they can make electricity without using up farmland or open spaces. The water also keeps the panels cooler, which may help them work better than panels on land.

These projects have another big benefit. In hot and dry Australia, dams lose huge amounts of water every year through evaporation. Covering parts of a dam with solar panels can block sunlight and reduce this loss, keeping more water available for farming, towns, and nature.

Right now, floating solar is still in the testing stage. Early studies show promise, but researchers are still learning how well it works on a large scale. If successful, it could become an important way to save water and produce renewable energy at the same time.
