𝐔𝐈𝐂𝐂𝐒 𝐡𝐨𝐥𝐝𝐬 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦-𝐰𝐢𝐝𝐞 𝐆𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐀𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐥𝐲 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔

As the commitment to strengthening bonds and breaking the ice among the BS Chemistry students, the University of the Immaculate Conception Chemistry Society (UICCS) held its annual General Assembly online via Google Meet last July 27, 2026.

Anchored on the visual theme of Dexter’s Laboratory, the event formally introduced the students to the administrators and faculty of the program, as well as the previous and ongoing plans of the society and its officers.

Moreover, the assembly engaged the students to a Chemistry-related icebreaker quiz, testing their prior knowledge on general chemistry questions and trivia, by which seven top students earned 100 pesos each.

The event also culminated with an inspiring pep talk from 𝐃𝐫. 𝐕𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐞 𝐁𝐚𝐝𝐨𝐧𝐠, 𝐑𝐂𝐡, 𝐏𝐅𝐓, 𝐋𝐏𝐓, 𝐌𝐀𝐓𝐂𝐂, 𝐂𝐒𝐒𝐎, the Chemistry academic coordinator of the UIC College of Pharmacy and Chemistry, highlighting the importance of Chemistry in various real-life industries such as healthcare, environment, cosmetics, and education.

Further, Dr. Badong aligned the discourse on Chemistry towards the discussion of the essence of pursuing research before formulating one’s stance on social issues.

Held annually during the start of the academic year, the general assembly aims to acquaint the students on their expectations for the coming year, including the opportunities that are in store for the Chemistry department as the society continues to grow in number.

The UICCS 2026 newly elected officers are now ready to takeoff in this academic year. With their sheer will and determination, they are believed to be the best of the rest for their respective positions.

We would also like to thank the UIC Chemistry Society for their continuous support and faith in each elected officers, and we are beyond excited to create a new path for UICCS.
