Meet Maira Ulangkaya, Depot Superintendent at Phoenix. ❤️
From taking a chance on an opportunity at the Phoenix Dumaguit Depot to growing into a leadership role, Maira’s 13-year journey is a story of hard work, perseverance, and keeping her ALAB burning.

When the Phoenix Dumaguit Depot opened its doors, I felt it was the opportunity I had been waiting for. I was young when I took the chance and applied, and I never looked back. Working at Phoenix gave me a new environment to grow in and opportunities to build my career.
Through hard work, dedication, and years of service, I gradually rose through the ranks and was eventually promoted to Depot Superintendent. I never imagined that I would one day take on this role, but every opportunity I embraced and every lesson I learned helped shape my journey to leadership.
As Depot Superintendent, I oversee compliance with government permits, plan and organize manpower, address our terminal clients' requirements, and ensure that our operations are carried out safely, efficiently, and in accordance with standards. Despite the fast-paced nature of operations, Phoenix continues to value work-life balance. After work, I cherish spending quality time and playing with my kids.
Staying motivated and keeping my ALAB burning has always been easier because of the people around me. From my dedicated teammates to our supportive business unit head, I am surrounded by individuals who are always willing to lend a helping hand. There have also been challenging moments that tested my passion and perseverance. Through prayer, the support of my family, and the encouragement of the company, I found the strength to keep moving forward. Phoenix stood by me during some of the most difficult times in my life, and in return, I have always strived to give my best in everything I do.
I have proudly been part of Phoenix for 13 years because of the healthy and supportive environment it provides. The company has always made me feel valued like family, and for that, I will always be grateful. I am equally thankful to my family for being my constant source of strength and to my Phoenix family for helping shape the person I am today. I hope my story inspires those who aspire to join Phoenix and encourages my fellow employees to continue pursuing their goals with ALAB and passion.
