Every tree we plant today is a promise of a stronger tomorrow.

On July 17, 2026, in celebration of National Disaster Resilience Month, Bohol Limestone Corporation (BLC) proudly conducted its "Planting Trees, Building Resilience" initiative at Barangay Sampong, one of our valued host barangays.

What made this activity truly meaningful was seeing people from different organizations come together with one purposeโ€”to care for the environment and help build a more resilient community. Employees of Bohol Limestone Corporation, members of the Sampong Parents and Youth Organization (SPYO), personnel from the Garcia Hernandez Mps Bppo, and our partner contractors worked side by side, proving that protecting our environment is a responsibility we all share.

Each seedling planted represents more than just another tree. It symbolizes hope, unity, and our commitment to safeguarding the land for future generations. As these trees take root and grow, so too does our collective commitment to reducing disaster risks, restoring nature, and creating a healthier and more sustainable future for our communities.

Bohol Limestone Corporation extends its heartfelt gratitude to everyone who took the time to participate and lend a helping hand. Your willingness to serve reminds us that resilience is not built by one organization aloneโ€”it grows through partnerships, shared responsibility, and the simple decision to take action.

Hello there, Pickle Friends ๐Ÿค—โ˜บ๏ธ๐Ÿซถ๐Ÿป

๐Ÿ” MINING TRIVIA: Did You Know?

Your pickleball paddle has a surprising connection to mining!

Many of the materials used in modern pickleball paddles come from minerals found in the Earth:

Graphite โ€“ Used in lightweight, high-performance paddle faces.

Quartz (Silica) โ€“ The main ingredient in fiberglass.

Calcite (Limestone) โ€“ Essential in glass manufacturing.

Feldspar โ€“ Helps produce strong and durable fiberglass.

Bauxite โ€“ The primary ore used to produce aluminum for some paddle cores.

From the mine to the court, these minerals are transformed into advanced materials that help deliver the power, control, and durability players rely on.

Every rally starts with resources from the Earth.

๐ŸBehind every great shot is the scienceโ€”and the mineralsโ€”that make it possible.

Conducted during the wet season, this initiative focused on documenting the diversity of fauna speciesโ€”particularly bird speciesโ€”within the company's designated Reference Ecosystem.

The activity was conducted in collaboration with the DENR-CENRO Tagbilaran City, with representatives from the Bohol Provincial Environment Management Office (BPEMO) also present to validate and verify the biodiversity data gathered during the monitoring.

The collected data will be compared with the 2025 baseline results to assess trends in species diversity and population density. These findings will provide valuable insights into the condition of the ecosystem and help guide the company's environmental management and conservation initiatives.

Through science-based monitoring and strong collaboration with government partners, BLC remains committed to protecting biodiversity and promoting responsible environmental stewardship for future generations. ๐ŸŒฟ๐Ÿฆœ
