The assessment is broken down into three distinct, escalating phases.

To quickly screen for major deficiencies and decide if further, more rigorous investigation is required.

Tier 2: Evaluation & Analysis

Detailed component and system-level analysis.

Engineers utilize structural modeling, material testing data, and engineering calculations to evaluate the building's current load-carrying capacity.

To precisely map the structure's physical and mechanical properties against to structural codes

Tier 3: Comprehensive or Site-Specific Assessment.

Advanced engineering and deep diagnostic investigation.Actions: Involves extensive in-situ (non-destructive) testing and highly specific load or dynamic testing. This pinpoints exact sources of distress and estimates remaining service life.
To recommend detailed structural retrofitting, strengthening, or remedial work to ensure long-term safety.
