On May 09, 2023 is my Graduation day for completing the course of Specialist Diploma in Building information Modelling Managament at Singapore Polytechnic
Congratulations to me for successfully completing my Specialist Diploma in Building Information Modelling Management at Singapore Polytechnic! This accomplishment fills me with immense pride as obtaining a diploma demands significant dedication, hard work, and sacrifice, especially when balancing work and family responsibilities.
Despite being 55 years old, the oldest and the only Filipino among the class, I remain fully committed to learning and personal growth. I am grateful for the wisdom that has guided me on this journey. My unwavering determination to pursue this course and expand my knowledge in my field serves as an inspiration to others, reflecting my passion for my work and my desire to continue growing professionally.
I believe that learning is a lifelong journey, and as long as I maintain an open mind and thirst for knowledge, there is no limit to what I can achieve. With hard work and determination, anything is possible, and age is just a number. This "passport" from Singapore Polytechnic I can take it anywhere and everywhere.
I am proud to have acquired a set of specializations that were hard-earned from institutions in Singapore and the Philippines. My specializations include the following:
1. Specialist Diploma in Precast Concrete Technology – BCA Academy, Singapore. This diploma enables me to make my next home renovation project truly unique by adding a precast concrete fireplace that doubles as a pizza oven.
2. Specialist Diploma in Construction Productivity – BCA Academy, Singapore. This diploma allows me to win arguments with my contractor friends, confidently citing my specialist knowledge in construction productivity and drop some knowledge bombs on them. They usually back down pretty quickly after that.
3. Specialist Diploma in Building Information Modelling Management – Singapore Polytechnic. This diploma makes me an official building information modelling management expert, meaning I can finally answer the age-old question: "What's the wifi password in this building?"
4. Specialist in Structural Engineering – PICE, Philippines. This specialization will allow me to view bridges and tall buildings with a new perspective, seeing the world in terms of forces, moments, and deflections. I can even put an end to the great debate: "Is a hotdog a sandwich?" If it's structurally sound, it's a sandwich.
5. Specialist in Project Management and Construction Engineering – PICE, Philippines. This specialization makes me a master of project management. When my boss asks why the project is behind schedule, I can confidently say that I am "managing expectations."
Once Albert Einstein said, once you stop learning, you will start dying.
Once again, I congratulate myself on this remarkable achievement and eagerly look forward to continuing to pursue my interests and passions.
