In the wake of the 7.8-magnitude earthquake that struck Mindanao on June 8, 2026, different companies led relief initiatives to help affected communities across Sarangani, South Cotabato, and General Santos City.

Working closely with local government units and community partners, Primelectric, ICTSI, and Manila Water extended support through cash assistance and the distribution of essential supplies.

Fuel was provided to help power generator sets and support the restoration of basic services, while bottled water, rice, canned goods, and other necessities reached families staying in evacuation centers and affected households.

To help address the need for safe drinking water, Manila Water deployed a Mobile Water Treatment Plant in affected areas. Primelectric also provided solar lamps and industrial fans to help improve conditions in temporary shelters.

As communities begin the long process of recovery, these efforts highlight the value of timely assistance and collaboration during times of crisis. Through the initiatives led by the Razon Group companies and the support of local partners, aid was delivered to families and communities working to rebuild in the aftermath of the disaster.

MORE Power Goes Beyond Power Distribution Through Brigada Eskwela 2026

MORE Electric and Power Corporation demonstrated that its mission extends well past delivering reliable electricity when 145 of its employees and environmental volunteers rolled up their sleeves for Brigada Eskwela 2026, the Department of Educationโ€™s annual nationwide school-prep campaign.

The volunteers visited seven schools across Iloilo City, collecting sacks of debris, pruning tree branches near poles and service lines, inspecting circuit breakers and service wires, and donating cleaning supplies and school materials.

โ€œServing Iloilo goes beyond maintaining lines and meters,โ€ said MORE Power President and CEO Roel Z. Castro. โ€œThese volunteer efforts reflect who we are at our core โ€” neighbors helping neighbors. We want to contribute to safer, more inviting learning spaces because our communityโ€™s wellโ€‘being is our priority, โ€œ he emphasized.
