All grids are on NORMAL operating condition today, based on current supply and demand forecast.

In the Visayas, grid conditions improved with increased generation capacity from Mindanao (TSI 1 and GNPK 2 back online) resulting in the full 450MW being exported to Visayas through the MVIP. However, a major plant outage may still trigger a Yellow Alert.

As of 7:00 PM, we have not received any further advisory from the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) regarding the implementation of Manual Load Dropping (MLD) and possible rotational brownouts within our franchise area, following their earlier notice this evening.

However, as of this time, power supply within our franchise area has normalized.

MORE Power continues to closely monitor the situation and coordinate with NGCP to help maintain system stability and reliable electricity service for our consumers.

We will provide further updates should there be any significant developments.

12 plants are on forced outage on September, 3 plants since August 2026, 1 plant since July, 2 plants since June, 7 plants since May, 3 plants since 2025, 2 plants since 2024, 2 plants since 2023, and 1 plant since 2021, while 14 plants are running on derated capacities, for a total of 820.6MW unavailable to the grid.

Factor/s that contributed to the YELLOW Alert declaration:

1. Unavailability of Visayas' large coal plants TVI 1 and PEDC 3
