Today, we remember the men and women behind our freedomโ๐ข๐ฏ๐จ ๐ฎ๐จ๐ข ๐ฃ๐ข๐บ๐ข๐ฏ๐ช ๐ด๐ข ๐ญ๐ช๐ฌ๐ฐ๐ฅ ๐ฏ๐จ ๐ข๐ต๐ช๐ฏ๐จ ๐ฌ๐ข๐ญ๐ข๐บ๐ข๐ข๐ฏโwhose sacrifices built the Philippines we live in today.
Observed every last Monday of August, National Heroes Day pays tribute to all Filipinos, known and unknownโwho gave their lives for our countryโs freedom and progress.
First declared in 1931 to commemorate the Cry of Pugad Lawin, the holiday has grown to honor not only revolutionary leaders, but also everyday heroes who continue to serve the nation.
Beyond a holiday, it is a reminder that heroism endures through courage, truth, and service. As we commemorate this day, may we carry forward the same spirit of patriotism that shaped our nation.
