I Left Behind the Security. And Found Myself.

I had a clear roadmap laid out – a stable job, a steady paycheck, and all the trappings of security. But something didn’t feel right. Deep down, I knew it wasn’t the life I truly wanted.

So, I took a leap of faith, stepping out of my comfort zone to forge my own path – without a safety net. All I had was my determination and a quiet voice inside me saying, “Go for it.”

As I walked this new path, I discovered pieces of myself I never knew existed. With every step, I grew more confident, and my purpose became clearer. Now, I wake up every morning with a sense of direction. I get to choose my own projects, clients, and schedule – it's exhilarating!

To anyone feeling stuck or uncertain: the "safe" option often feels familiar, but it might not be the right fit. Growth lies in taking risks, and power comes from choosing your own path.

Your journey will be unique, and that's what makes it yours. Own it, shape it, and make it meaningful – every step forward is a step closer to your true self.

Thinking of becoming a Virtual Assistant (VA)? ✨ Before you take the leap, here are some harsh truths that few people discuss:

1. No Work, No Pay: There's no safety net in freelancing. If you don't find clients or complete projects, there's no paycheck waiting for you. Hustling is an essential part of the job.

2. Clients Can Ghost You: Regardless of the quality of your work, some clients will disappear without paying their invoices. That's why contracts and follow-ups aren't optional – they're crucial.

3. Freedom Comes with Responsibility: Sure, you can work from anywhere, but that also means you're always reachable. If you don't set clear boundaries, clients will assume you're available 24/7.

4. Self-Motivation is Key: Without a boss or coworkers, you're responsible for pushing yourself to meet deadlines. The freedom you wanted can quickly turn into procrastination if you're not disciplined.

5. You Wear Many Hats: As a freelancer, you're not just a VA – you're also the accountant, marketer, and customer service representative. Managing everything can be exhausting, and burnout is a real concern.

6. Stability is a Myth: One month you might be booked solid, and the next, you're scrambling to find your next gig. Financial planning isn't optional – it's essential for survival.

7. It Can Get Lonely: Working remotely means no office chatter, no team lunches, and no in-person brainstorming. You'll need to make an effort to build connections and fight isolation.

Freelancing can be rewarding, but it's not all about Instagram-worthy work setups and coffee shop vibes. If you're considering going full-time, be prepared to face the harsh realities and build resilience. It's not for everyone, but if you can handle the pressure, it can be worth it. 💪🏼

‼️Unfair Taxation Alert 🚨💸
Seriously? You want to tax us now?

After we've built our own income without any help from the government?

We have no 13th-month pay, no health insurance, no paid leave, and no job security.

We take all the risks and get none of the protection. Our contracts can be terminated overnight without warning, severance, or backup plans.

Sometimes, we're not even paid in full. Clients can vanish mid-project, leaving us with nothing. There's no support and no justice.

And now, after giving us nothing, you want to take a cut of our already unstable and uncertain income?

You want to tax us just so you can funnel it to a select few through a broken system?

This is outrageous!

Instead of targeting honest freelancers who hustle to survive, go after the real tax dodgers – the billion-peso evaders and shady corporations.

We don't even know if we'll have work next week, yet we keep going without any help or guarantees. Don't punish us for finding a way to make ends meet.
