This one is in Tagaytay , where the air is already cooler and the pace is already slower than the city. The brief centered on one idea, a home that feels like an escape the moment you step through the gate, in a place that already feels like an escape.
So the design leans entirely into that. The roofline sits low and wide, holding shadow across the whole facade so the home stays calm and shaded even on a clear day. The spaces underneath open outward rather than closing in, so the cool Tagaytay air can move through rather than being shut out. At night, warm light glows along the roofline and the whole house settles into something quieter.
It is a striking home from the street, but every line on that facade exists for a reason beyond how it looks. The shadow, the openness, the warmth at night all serve one purpose: what it feels like to actually live here.
This is design working in both directions at once. Impressive to look at, and built entirely around how it feels to wake up here, with the fog still sitting in the trees.
