UPLB LRC is extending applications for the Borrow-A-Laptop (BAL) Program under the Agricultural and Rural Development Scholarship (ARDS) Plus Program.

Through semestral laptop leases, the BAL Program aims to support students who need reliable devices for online learning, thesis work, and other academic requirements.

𝗤𝗨𝗔𝗟𝗜𝗙𝗜𝗖𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡𝗦:
💻 Priority for undergraduate students with SLAS brackets of FD, PD 80, or PD 60
💻 Students at a considerable disadvantage during asynchronous learning modality (i.e., students who do not own a laptop or who are sharing a laptop with others)
💻 Students with scholarships and other types of grants whose benefits do not cover gadget assistance
💻 Students who are not beneficiaries of the UPLB CARES Borrow-a-Laptop Program
💻 Students who urgently need a laptop for their theses

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us for KIMIKAalaman: The IC Seminar Series No. 7! We were honored to host Prof. Myra O. Villareal, Ph.D. (Professor at Sophia University, Tokyo and DOST-PCHRD Balik Scientist), who delivered an inspiring session on "Translating the Power of Natural Products for Sustainable Cosmeceutical Innovation" on 24 August 2026 via ZOOM.

Prof. Villareal provided valuable insights into green chemistry and natural products, highlighting how sustainable innovations are shaping the cosmeceutical industry and driving science-backed solutions for beauty and wellness.
