IGNACIO VILLAMOR HIGH SCHOOL GETS AI READY!

We had the privilege of conducting an Hour of Code & AI session with Ignacio Villamor High School where students were able to discover the vast possibilities that could be opened up with the use of AI!

The insights from Master Trainer Maria Ana Latorre left students not just with better AI literacy, but with impressions of the inclusivity and holistic educational and professional development that can be achieved with the responsible use of AI. Needless to say, these young minds are now certifiably AI Ready!

Bringing global technology to the next generation? That’s what AI Ready ASEAN is all about. Thank you Ignacio Villamor High School for embracing the AI ready journey!

On this International Firefighters’ Day, we’re highlighting the 2022-2023 youth-led project "Mapping Fire Hydrants as Baseline Data for Fire Emergency Response" by Viscan YouthMappers.

Through field mapping using KoboToolbox, data validation, and map visualization, the project resulted in accurate and accessible data on fire hydrant locations across four municipalities and cities in Leyte, Philippines, with the final maps officially turned over to the Bureau of Fire Protection offices to strengthen local fire emergency response.

Huge shoutout to Viscan YouthMappers for their leadership and collective effort in driving community-centered solutions grounded in real needs and strong local partnerships!
