CONSTITUTION AND BY LAWS
ARTICLE I: NAME
Sec. 1: This organization shall duly recognize as the Geodetic Engineers of the Philippines, Quezon, Student Chapter. ARTICLE II: AIMS AND PURPOSE
Sec. 1: To promote the Geodetic Engineering programs and its importance in the society. Sec. 2: To stimulate intellectual creativeness, encourage scholarship and foster fellowship among its members. Sec. 3: To
build a sense of responsibility, develop leadership skills and camaraderie among its members through discipline, involvement and service. Sec. 4: To encourage members to participate in both academic and non-academic extracurricular activities in order to build unity, improve coordination and enhance personal development. Sec. 5: To render services to the student through tutorial and lecture seminars and to the community as well as through outreach programs and community service. ARTICLE III: DECLARATION OF PRINCIPLES
Sec. 1: The GEP shall be non-political, non-religious association of students. Sec. 2: The GEP shall advocate association regardless of, religion, race and nationality, social and economic status. Sec. 3: The GEP shall tolerate individual differences among its members provided such does not harm the dignity of the Organization as well as the University. Sec. 4: The GEP firmly believes that security through unity and stability through reasons are the guiding principles and every member shall adhere to policies formulated by the Board of Directors. ARTICLE IV: FUNCTIONS
Sec. 1: To help fellow Geodetic Engineering Students in the course. Sec. 2: Community outreach program.”
ARTICLE V: MEMBERSHIP
Sec. 1: There shall be created committee on membership who shall be responsible in the recruitment of members. This committee shall also investigate the desirability of the applicants through a screen test. Sec. 2: The Board of Directors shall have the sole power to approve membership by 2/3 votes of the members present during the deliberation. Sec. 3: Any student applicant who believes in the principle of the GEP and who meets the following requirements are eligible for membership:
a) A bonafide Geodetic Engineering student of the MSEUF enrolled in the College of Engineering. c) Those that qualify in the recruitment guidelines and passed the screen tests given by the Membership Committee. ARTICLE VI: ELECTIONS
Sec. 1: Any member shall have the freedom to experience his/her individual right in the selection of the Board Members and Executive Officers. Sec. 2: The organization shall annually hold its general election before the end of the school year and the existing Board of Directors shall decide where to conduct the election. Be it provided further that special election may be held as deemed necessary. Sec. 3: Election shall be done by secret ballot or hand raise. ARTICLE VII: BOARD OF DIRECTORS
Sec. 1: The officers shall constitute the Board of Directors. The officers of GEP shall be the officers of the Board. Sec. 2: The Board shall have the administrative control over the affairs, properties and funds of the organization except that of modifying any action taken by the organization, it shall authorize payment from funds set upon invitations to membership, resignations and disciplinary matters, receive such reports of committee as may be necessary between meetings. Other duties such as the club or this constitution maybe required. Sec. 3: A majority of the Board of Directors shall constitute a quorum. Sec. 4: The Board of Directors shall create officers or committees that may deem necessary to carry out efficient activity. Any committee thus created shall carry and be headed by a chairperson. a) Membership Committee shall attend all the membership recruitment process. b) Executive Committee shall maintain and control the internal and external affairs of the organization.
