Habang dumarami ang solar at wind sa ating energy mix, may isang mahalagang tanong:
Paano natin sisiguraduhin na kahit pabago-bago ang hangin at sikat ng araw, tuloy-tuloy pa rin ang kuryente?

Sa ilalim ng Department Circular No. DC2026-02-0008, pinalakas ng DOE ang Energy Storage Systems (ESS) Policy upang gawing mandatory ang pag-integrate ng energy storage sa malalaking variable renewable energy (VRE) projects na 10 MW pataas. Kinakailangan na may katumbas na hindi bababa sa 20% storage capacity bilang bahagi ng kanilang development.

✔️ Kapag sobra ang renewable energy, may maiimbak.
✔️ Kapag bumaba ang supply, may huhugutin.
✔️ Mas stable ang boltahe at frequency ng kuryente.
✔️ Mas handa ang grid sa mas mataas na renewable pe*******on.

Isasama ang ESS sa transmission at distribution planning, mula sa grid-connected hanggang sa off-grid areas, para masigurong maaasahan ang suplay kahit saan sa bansa.

Ambala, India – September 11, 2025

A high-level delegation from the Philippines, led by Jenny Lin Granados Maaño, Co-Founder and President of SunSmart Solar Power Technology Inc., in supervision and coordination of H.E.
