An overhead smash by a professional player that can send the ball flying at over 200-220 km/h carries roughly 90-110 joules of kinetic energy, the same amount of energy to power a 10-watt LED bulb for 10 seconds. đź’ˇ
It may not sound like much, but all that energy comes from a coordinated chain of movement—from the legs, hips, torso, shoulders, and finally the racket.
It's another reminder that energy is all around us—not just in power plants, but in every serve, volley, and smash on the court.
