Meralco customers are set to face over P31 billion in additional charges starting March following the Energy Regulatory Commission’s approval of claims by several power producers.

The ERC has authorized the collection of an additional P0.2816 per kilowatt-hour for 12 to 36 months or until the total amount is fully recovered.

These efforts showcase the municipality’s commitment to renewable energy integration, responsible resource management, and sustainable growth, setting a model for municipalities across Northern Mindanao and the Philippines.

Halos 7,000 ang naitalang insidente ng sunog dahil sa electrical issues gaya ng overloading, short circuit, o kaya'y umiinit na appliance nitong 2025, ayon sa Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP).

Sa kabuuan, aabot sa 15,721 ang naitalang sunog sa buong taon.

Sumunod na kadalasang dahilan ng sunog ang naiiwang niluluto o kaya ang LPG, pangatlo naman ang dahil sa ember.
