SIC, an active distributor of biotech equipment with a long history of studying biotech science and processes, has put up a pilot torrefaction plant in Northern Mindanao and is now able to produce BIOCOAL. Tests have been done on the samples and good heating values established. Samples are available for companies interested in partnering with SIC to set up commercial size torrefaction plants in its Joint Venture areas.
