The Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Summit 2026, organized by the Cebu Pride Movement โ in partnership with the Province of Cebu, Cebu City Anti-Discrimination Commission, and JCI Cebu Lakan Bahaghari โ brought together changemakers from different sectors to explore how we can build communities where every voice is valued and every person belongs.
Innodata Philippines joined these important conversations through the participation of Mary Joyce Joel, Co-chairperson of the Sexuality and Gender Alliance (SAGA).
The conversations in the conference, happened on June 1 at the Social Hall of the Cebu Provincial Capitol, reminded us that inclusion goes beyond representation. It means protecting dignity, challenging discrimination, and creating spaces where people can thrive as their authentic selves.
True progress also requires recognizing the diverse experiences people carry and responding with empathy, respect, and accountability. Inclusion becomes meaningful when it is reflected in the way we listen, collaborate, and support one another.
As we move forward, we must continue turning awareness into action. Equity is a right, diversity is our strength, and real change begins with the choices we make every day.
