The FEU Tech Innovation Center warmly welcomes students and representatives of The Master’s University (California) for their Summer Immersion Program in Manila.

Accompanied by FEU Group of Schools Chief Information Officer Enrique Amigo and FEU Institute of Technology Senior Director for Student Success Jarvis Muyargas, the delegation explored opportunities for cross-cultural learning, marketplace ministry, and a deeper understanding of Southeast Asia’s emerging industries.

As part of their visit, Senior Director for Innovation and Research Engr. Daryl David led a tour of the Innovation Center, sharing how its programs and initiatives continue to foster a strong culture of innovation within the FEU community. Mr. Amigo also delivered an insightful discussion on the IT-BPO industry in the Philippines, highlighting its vital role as one of the country’s major economic drivers, employing nearly 2 million Filipinos and supporting some of the world’s largest companies.

On May 20, the FEU Tech Innovation Center (FTIC) successfully hosted UNMASKED: Inside the Founder’s Reality – Ethics, Influence, and Accountability in the Digital Age, bringing together FEU Institute of Technology students enrolled in Technopreneurship classes for an insightful learning experience on entrepreneurship and innovation.

The event featured Jay Olos, Founder & CEO of Onecfo PH, who shared his journey of building a startup company, from transforming ideas into scalable ventures to navigating the realities of startup culture. Through his stories and reflections, students gained a deeper understanding that building a startup is much like riding a roller coaster filled with twists and turns, highs and lows, and moments that require both resilience and bold decision-making.

More than just a talk, UNMASKED serves as one of FTIC’s signature programs dedicated to highlighting the journeys of startup founders, offering students a closer look at what it truly takes to build something meaningful. By uncovering the realities behind entrepreneurship, FTIC hopes to inspire more Tamaraws to take the leap, pursue innovative ideas, and perhaps build ventures of their own in the future.
