DESIGN & BUILD | RGO Clinic, Taguig City.

Doing something beyond your customary work routine is anything but easy. Doing it on the wee hours makes it gruelsome.

We took on a construction of a full-time clinic at night shift amidst two ongoing projects because as a newbie, we were always up for challenges.

After months of works, relying on fresh and functional designs of J.Villanueva, & God’s unlimited grace, we were drained but we persisted. We got tired of seeing plywoods and each others faces that we wanted to move on.

After months of hard labor, we were just pleased to build an efficiently designed and aesthetically good- looking clinic.

Artists can be overbearing most of times. Fickle, talented , passionate, pensive, rarely jovial, and time irreverent. Why? Because theyre artists. Working with them is anything but easy.

Once in a while, an artist cuts thru this stereotype and makes work pleasant. Say hi to Justine Mundin-Villanueva. My company’s resident Interior Designer. Her concept of space and function is masterful. Her design purpose and taste is evident. Weaved in hues of gray, brown and blues...its picture perfect.

Building on intricate designs and drawings is hard enough. Relying on mere pictures sent thru email as basis for construction...that's even harder. But we keep on keeping on & just dish out sublime efforts.

The intricate criss-crossed wood design as Room Divider was the focal point of construction. It was my favorite, because even without working drawings, it turned out pretty ok.

Hard earned money is never cheap. Especially for our overseas workers were emotional capital is poured into the mix. So when these unsung heroes put you to a task, you must over deliver.

We did that, and more. With an ambitious design, a modest budget, an obsession to perfection, a chaotic team and a far-flung project site where EDSA greets you daily, notwitstanding. What do you do? You put your mouthpiece in, bitedown and keep on. Punch in creativity and hard work and you're well on your way.

Creativity and Efficiency should be a staple for projects constrained by time and funds. Plus, the unit must be just pretty enough to be leased right away to start earning. Talk about pressure!

How did we go about it? We went Minimal, of course. Pulling it off with a great team of Designer & Builders sealed the deal. To top it off, we hired a proficient photographer to make the project more stunning.

The mix of minimalist design with neutral colors was just perfect. Sophistication in simplicity.
