On ๐—”๐˜‚๐—ด๐˜‚๐˜€๐˜ ๐Ÿญ๐Ÿฏ, ๐Ÿฎ๐Ÿฌ๐Ÿฎ๐Ÿฒ, Mechanical Engineering student volunteers took part in the ๐—ฅ๐—ผ๐—ผ๐—บ ๐˜๐—ผ ๐—ฅ๐—ผ๐—ผ๐—บ event as part of the ๐—™๐—ฟ๐—ฒ๐˜€๐—ต๐—บ๐—ฒ๐—ป ๐—ข๐—ป๐—ฏ๐—ผ๐—ฎ๐—ฟ๐—ฑ๐—ถ๐—ป๐—ด ๐—ฃ๐—ฟ๐—ผ๐—ด๐—ฟ๐—ฎ๐—บ. The volunteers prepared various activities to introduce the freshmen to the ๐—ง๐—ต๐—ผ๐—บ๐—ฎ๐˜€๐—ถ๐—ฎ๐—ป ๐—ฐ๐˜‚๐—น๐˜๐˜‚๐—ฟ๐—ฒ and to allow them to ๐—ด๐—ฒ๐˜ ๐˜๐—ผ ๐—ธ๐—ป๐—ผ๐˜„ ๐˜๐—ต๐—ฒ๐—ถ๐—ฟ ๐—ฝ๐—ฒ๐—ฒ๐—ฟ๐˜€.

The event started with an โ€˜๐—œ๐—ป๐˜๐—ฟ๐—ผ๐—ฑ๐˜‚๐—ฐ๐—ฒ ๐˜†๐—ผ๐˜‚๐—ฟ๐˜€๐—ฒ๐—น๐—ณโ€™ portion allowing the freshmen to ๐—ฒ๐˜…๐—ฝ๐—ฟ๐—ฒ๐˜€๐˜€ ๐˜๐—ต๐—ฒ๐—บ๐˜€๐—ฒ๐—น๐˜ƒ๐—ฒ๐˜€ and to ๐—ฐ๐—ผ๐—ป๐—ป๐—ฒ๐—ฐ๐˜ ๐˜„๐—ถ๐˜๐—ต ๐˜๐—ต๐—ฒ๐—ถ๐—ฟ ๐—ฐ๐—ผ๐—น๐—น๐—ฒ๐—ฎ๐—ด๐˜‚๐—ฒ๐˜€. They also participated in the games prepared by the volunteers such as the ๐—Ÿ๐—œ๐—ก๐—˜ ๐—œ๐—ง ๐—จ๐—ฃ and ๐—ฅ๐—”๐—ฃ๐—œ๐—— ๐—ฅ๐—˜๐—–๐—”๐—Ÿ๐—Ÿ. The games served as a fun activity while fostering ๐—ฐ๐—ฎ๐—บ๐—ฎ๐—ฟ๐—ฎ๐—ฑ๐—ฒ๐—ฟ๐—ถ๐—ฒ between their blockmates and their fellow thomasian supervisors.

Despite the many threats against his life, time and time again he has chosen to fight for the ๐˜๐—ฟ๐˜‚๐˜๐—ต, the ๐—ฑ๐—ฒ๐—บ๐—ผ๐—ฐ๐—ฟ๐—ฎ๐—ฐ๐˜†, and the ๐—™๐—ถ๐—น๐—ถ๐—ฝ๐—ถ๐—ป๐—ผ people.

Today, we honor the death of former Senator ๐—•๐—ฒ๐—ป๐—ถ๐—ด๐—ป๐—ผ โ€œ๐™‰๐™ž๐™ฃ๐™ค๐™ฎโ€ ๐—”๐—พ๐˜‚๐—ถ๐—ป๐—ผ ๐—๐—ฟ. A prevalent figure in the fight against the authoritarian regime and inspired the People Power Revolution in the year 1986.

As Thomasians, we are taught to embody ๐˜๐˜ฆ๐˜ณ๐˜ช๐˜ต๐˜ข๐˜ด ๐˜ช๐˜ฏ ๐˜Š๐˜ข๐˜ณ๐˜ช๐˜ต๐˜ข๐˜ต๐˜ฆ, or Truth in Love. May the former Senator Ninoy serve as an inspiration to keep fighting for the truth despite the challenges it carries.

Last ๐— ๐—ฎ๐˜† ๐Ÿฎ๐Ÿต, ๐Ÿฎ๐Ÿฌ๐Ÿฎ๐Ÿฒ, the Mechanical Engineering Faculty and Graduating Students together with their parents gathered for a get-together program: ๐— ๐—ฒ๐—ฒ๐˜ ๐—ง๐—ต๐—ฒ ๐—ฃ๐—ฎ๐—ฟ๐—ฒ๐—ป๐˜๐˜€. The program was held to celebrate the achievements of the students and to see the faces behind the success. The event fostered interactions between the parents and their childrenโ€™s professors especially, between their shared journey of raising such amazing students.

During the program they were able to take a look back at their journey and a select few of them were able to share unforgettable experiences as a Thomasian Mechanical Engineering Student. Some parents were also given the opportunity to share their stories of raising such aspiring Mechanical Engineer youth and express how proud they are not only of their child but, also of their batch mates.

Through progressive challenges across multiple difficulty levels, participants applied problem-solving skills, precision, and creativity in completing industry-relevant design tasks under time constraints.
