Tree hugging expresses the love for nature and demonstrates the commitment to environmental conservation. In a world that is increasingly dominated by concrete jungles, the role of trees in our lives cannot be overstated. Trees are like the silent, guardians of our environment, providing us with a plethora of benefits.
Study shows that spending time around trees can reduce stress, improve immunity, lower blood pressure, and accelerate recovery from illness or trauma. Furthermore, when you hug a tree, you release a hormone called oxytocin known as the hormone of love and trust which gives you that warm, fuzzy feeling.
This February as the world celebrates the Month of Love, Hallmark Mining Corporation express their love for the environment by joining the Tree Hugging CAMPAIGN of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) Forest Management Bureau!
Aside from the Tree Hugging Campaign, the company also initiates bamboo planting with two hundred (200) bamboo for river rehabilitation and protection.
LET'S HUG A TREE!
