Disclaimer: You might not agree with this, and that's perfectly okay. This is simply my perspective based on what I've observed and experienced.
2000s: "Feeling ko nahuhuli na ako sa buhay."
1990s: "Ako rin... feeling ko hinahabol na ako ng oras." ๐
Magkaiba man ang generation, pareho pa rin tayong nakakaramdam ng pressure.
Minsan dahil sa social media. Minsan dahil sa achievements ng mga kaibigan natin. Minsan dahil sa sarili nating expectations.
Pero nga sabi nila, "Comparison is the thief of joy."
Kapag ang sukatan natin ay ang buhay ng ibang tao, laging may mas maaga, mas mabilis, o mas malayo ang narating. At doon nagsisimula ang pagkawala ng appreciation sa sarili nating progress.
Instead of asking, "Bakit mas nauna siya?" maybe ask, "Mas naging mabuti ba ako kaysa sa dati kong sarili?"
COMPARE YOURSELF WITH WHO YOU WERE YESTERDAY,
NOT WITH WHO SOMEONE ELSE IS TODAY.
Iba-iba ang starting point, opportunities, responsibilities, at timing ng bawat isa. Hindi pare-pareho ang timeline natin, kaya hindi rin pareho ang finish line.
Whether you're from the 2000s or the 1990s, keep moving at your own pace.
