Treasure Secured: The Pirate Bytes Have Landed! 🏆 🏴‍☠️

The voyage was long, the challenges were many, but the loot is finally ours! A massive congratulations to team PIRATE BYTES for an outstanding performance in the EA Days 2026, where we officially snatched the 2nd Runner Up Overall title! 🥈

Beyond the trophies and the rankings, this achievement is a reflection of the heart and dedication our team poured into every moment. This victory belongs to every member of the crew who showed up with passion, representing the incredible synergy between IECEP and ICpEP. It wasn't just about the hardware or the software; it was about the shared laughter, the resilience built, and the unwavering belief in one another that brought us to the finish line.

The 𝗜𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗶𝘁𝘂𝘁𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗘𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗶𝗰𝘀 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀 – 𝗨𝗡𝗖 (𝗜𝗘𝗖𝗘𝗣-𝗨𝗡𝗖) proudly hosted its annual 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐮𝐬 𝐒𝐨𝐟𝐭𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐏𝐂𝐁 𝐋𝐚𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐩-𝐒𝐞𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐫 at the UNC EA Building. Students from diverse engineering programs came together for hands-on sessions in electronics and circuit design.

Held on 𝙁𝙚𝙗𝙧𝙪𝙖𝙧𝙮 𝟐𝟖, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔, the seminar welcomed participants from 𝑴𝒆𝒄𝒉𝒂𝒏𝒊𝒄𝒂𝒍, 𝑬𝒍𝒆𝒄𝒕𝒓𝒊𝒄𝒂𝒍, and 𝑪𝒐𝒎𝒑𝒖𝒕𝒆𝒓 𝑬𝒏𝒈𝒊𝒏𝒆𝒆𝒓𝒊𝒏𝒈 programs. They explored circuit simulations using 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐮𝐬 𝟖 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐟𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐒𝐨𝐟𝐭𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐞 and built a 𝑩𝒍𝒊𝒏𝒌𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝑳𝑬𝑫 𝑪𝒊𝒓𝒄𝒖𝒊𝒕 𝒘𝒊𝒕𝒉 𝒂 𝟓𝟓𝟓 𝑻𝒊𝒎𝒆𝒓, gaining practical experience that strengthened their understanding of electronics and circuitry.

IECEP-UNC extends heartfelt gratitude to 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗿. 𝗘𝗱𝗴𝗮𝗿𝗱𝗼 𝗡. 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘇 𝗝𝗿. for generously sharing his expertise and guiding students through valuable learning opportunities. His passion and mentorship made this event truly impactful.

The IECEP–UNC Student Chapter will once again conduct a 𝐒𝐞𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐫-𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐩 𝐨𝐧 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐮𝐬 𝐒𝐨𝐟𝐭𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐏𝐂𝐁 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 to equip participants with practical skills in circuit simulation and printed circuit board design through hands-on learning in PCB layout and simulation tools.

Our exhibit wasn't just a display, it was a high-energy hub where we 𝘴𝘩𝘰𝘸𝘤𝘢𝘴𝘦𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘤𝘰𝘳𝘦 𝘰𝘧 𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘨𝘳𝘢𝘮 and the tight-knit community that makes our 𝘰𝘳𝘨𝘢𝘯𝘪𝘻𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 feel like home. From 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘀𝗶𝘀, 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁𝘀, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗽𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 breakdowns to 𝗹𝗶𝗳𝗲 𝗮𝘀 𝗮𝗻 𝗘𝗖𝗘 𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁, we made sure every students and visitors saw the massive potential waiting for them here at 𝐁𝐒𝐄𝐂𝐄. The real stars of the show were the 𝘪𝘯𝘯𝘰𝘷𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘷𝘦 𝘴𝘵𝘶𝘥𝘦𝘯𝘵 𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘫𝘦𝘤𝘵𝘴 and 𝘩𝘪𝘨𝘩-𝘦𝘯𝘥 𝘦𝘲𝘶𝘪𝘱𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵 𝘰𝘯 𝘥𝘪𝘴𝘱𝘭𝘢𝘺. We gave our guests a feel-at-home experience of the world of 𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗶𝗰𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀, featuring everything from intricate 𝘤𝘪𝘳𝘤𝘶𝘪𝘵 𝘥𝘦𝘴𝘪𝘨𝘯𝘴 to the 𝘢𝘥𝘷𝘢𝘯𝘤𝘦𝘥 𝘵𝘦𝘴𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘰𝘰𝘭𝘴 we use in most of our laboratory activities. Watching the SHS students engage with our hands-on demos and seeing their interested faces when they realize how things work was definitely the highlight of the event for all of us! 🥳

𝑪𝑶𝑵𝑮𝑹𝑨𝑻𝑼𝑳𝑨𝑻𝑰𝑶𝑵𝑺!

𝐊𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐉𝐨𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐞 𝐀𝐥𝐜𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐚 of IECEP-UNC and 𝐊𝐫𝐢𝐬 𝐀𝐧𝐝𝐫𝐞𝐢 𝐕𝐞𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐜𝐨 of ICPEP-UNC participated in the recently held 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓 𝒀𝒐𝒖𝒏𝒈 𝑭𝒂𝒓𝒎𝒆𝒓𝒔 𝑪𝒉𝒂𝒍𝒍𝒆𝒏𝒈𝒆 (𝒀𝑭𝑪) 𝑪𝒐𝒎𝒑𝒆𝒕𝒊𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏 of the 𝐃𝐞𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐀𝐠𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 – 𝐁𝐢𝐜𝐨𝐥. The competition aims to empower the youth to take ownership of their ventures while developing entrepreneurial skills through coaching and mentoring.

The duo was recognized as 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐀𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐞𝐞𝐬 and later emerged as 𝐑𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐀𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐞𝐞𝐬, earning a 𝑷𝒍𝒂𝒒𝒖𝒆 𝒐𝒇 𝑹𝒆𝒄𝒐𝒈𝒏𝒊𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏 and securing a place 𝑎𝑚𝑜𝑛𝑔 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑠𝑒𝑣𝑒𝑛 (7) 𝑠𝑒𝑙𝑒𝑐𝑡𝑒𝑑 𝑌𝑜𝑢𝑛𝑔 𝐸𝑛𝑡𝑒𝑟𝑝𝑟𝑖𝑠𝑒𝑠 in the 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐭-𝐔𝐩 𝐎𝐩𝐞𝐧 𝐂𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐠𝐨𝐫𝐲 at the regional level. With this achievement, they have the opportunity to be 𝑠𝑒𝑙𝑒𝑐𝑡𝑒𝑑 𝑡𝑜 𝑟𝑒𝑝𝑟𝑒𝑠𝑒𝑛𝑡 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑟𝑒𝑔𝑖𝑜𝑛 in the 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧, which will be held in Iloilo City.
