Available Capacity- 12,479MW
Peak Demand- 12,595MW

12 plants are on outage since May, 2 since April, 3 plants since March, 4 since January, 3 since 2025, 2 since 2024, and 1 plant out since 2019; while 14 plants are running on derated capacities, for a total of 4,242.5MW unavailable to the grid.

The Tayabas-Ilijan 500kV Line and the Dasmarinas-Ilijan 500kV Line were restored on 13 May 2026 at 2:44PM and 4:52PM, respectively. We are waiting for the affected plants to resynchronize back to the grid.

A red alert status is issued when power supply is insufficient to meet consumer demand and the transmission grid’s regulating requirement.

A yellow alert is issued when the operating margin is insufficient to meet the transmission grid’s contingency requirement.

NGCP may implement Manual Load Dropping (MLD) in the following areas today, 13 May, to maintain the integrity of the power system:

ISECO (parts of Ilocos Sur)
CENPELCO (parts of Pangasinan)
ISELCO I (parts of Isabela)
QUIRELCO (entire province of Quirino)
BATELEC II (parts of Batangas
Ibaan Electric Corp. (parts of Batangas)
ALECO (parts of Albay)
PELCO (parts of Pampanga)
SFELAPCO (parts of Pampanga)
QUEZELCO 1 (parts of Quezon)
MERALCO (parts of Metro Manila)
NEECO I (parts of Nueva Ecija)
BATELEC I (parts of Batangas)

Schedule may be cancelled if system condition improves, such as if actual demand falls below projections.

NGCP encourages everyone to exercise prudence in using electricity.

Iba’t ibang uri ng solar connection ☀️⚡

(1) GRID-TIED or ON-GRID Connection - directly connected to the utility power grid. Solar powers your load and if there are excess energy, it goes to the grid. May supply parin sa utility kapag kulang na ang power from solar. Mas tipid kasi hindi kailangan ng battery. No power backup.

(2) OFF-GRID Connection - completely independent. Solar lang ang source of power mo. No more electric bill at all.

(3) HYBRID Connection - combination of the two mentioned above. May battery storage ka at may backup ka pa from utility kapag mahina ang charge ng solar.
