📢UNSCHEDULED POWER INTERRUPTION ADVISORY⚡

OEDC informs its valued customers that the unscheduled power interruption affecting parts of Olongapo City today, 23 April 2026 was caused by a snake that climbed the gantry structure of one of our substations and came into contact with energized components.

This resulted in a line-to-ground fault, triggering protective devices and the automatic shutdown of the affected feeders to ensure system safety.

The obstruction has been cleared and power has been safely restored following necessary checks.

We apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your understanding.
