"The facade is composed of wooden, steel, and concrete elements for an industrial vibe. Modern architectural style ties it together with its clean and sharp lines. The color palette is “bespoke and manly”, per the client’s request, and is dominated by grays, blacks, and browns." 🪵🪨

"The client is absolutely in love with the wood-concrete combination, so we incorporated a variety of textures in the design. Fluted wood-composite panels adorn the wall on the left side of the facade, which flows down to the main door clad in the same material, providing the continuity in the design.” 🤎🤍

“This is the overarching theme for this project located at Ayala Greenfield, Calamba, Laguna. The client, an avid golfer, mentioned that the golf course is what really sold her the lot.” 🏌️‍♀️

“Modern tropical architecture style fits well with the vacation vibe that the client is going for, but they also wanted curves. Modernism is all about clean and solid lines, so it is a challenge to fit the curves into the concept.” 🌴

Inside an Architect’s Mind: Manila Home✨

“The abundance of plants is a signature of tropical architecture, and this is prominent in the facade. It not only helps provide fresh air, it also provides a boost to the colder micro-climate of the surrounding area.

The property also faces west, normally less climatically desirable because of its exposure to the scorching afternoon sun, but GARPE Architecture designed wood-plastic composite (WPC) sunshields on customized sliding tracks.”🍃🪵

The moment you step into the foyer of this charming house in Nuvali, a fifteen-foot high ceiling welcomes you. ✨

Wood planks installed vertically guide the eyes ever upwards, while tall windows let in lots of natural lighting. 🪵💡

Did the golden yellow door catch your eye? 💛 Doesn’t it add character and lend a playful and quirky vibe to the facade? ✨

The wood elements in the front wall and the eaves allow it to blend nicely with the environment. 🪵Black wood-textured ficem board planks are also added on the ground floor so the main door would stand out. Canopy and fascia are also painted black for design cohesion. 🖤

Alternating shrub and wooden plank panels on the front fence give it a touch of the tropics. 🌳🍃
