Today, April 9, 2026, we commemorate the 84th Anniversary of Araw ng Kagitingan, paying tribute to the brave Filipino and American soldiers who fought for our freedom during the Second World War, and who endured the tragedy of the Bataan Death March.
The years of Japanese occupation tested our nation’s strength and resilience. From this, we are reminded that once a Filipino, always a Filipino. Courage in all its forms continues to shape our identity and fuel our patriotism.
As we face today’s challenges, let us reflect, find meaning, and draw strength from our history.
