Aircon Preventive Maintenance Checklist
Keep Your Air Conditioner Running Like New

Your air conditioner works hard every day to keep your home or office comfortable. Regular preventive maintenance helps avoid unexpected breakdowns, lowers electricity costs, and extends the life of your unit.

Here's a simple checklist every aircon owner should follow:

✅ 1. Clean or Inspect the Air Filter

A dirty filter restricts airflow, reduces cooling performance, and increases power consumption.

Recommended: Every 2–4 weeks.

✅ 2. Clean the Evaporator Coil

Dust and dirt on the indoor coil reduce heat absorption and make the aircon work harder.

Recommended: Every 3–6 months.

✅ 3. Clean the Condenser Coil

The outdoor unit must release heat efficiently. Dirt and debris can reduce cooling performance.

✅ 4. Check the Drain Line

Ensure the drain hose is free from clogs to prevent indoor water leaks.

✅ 5. Inspect Refrigerant Lines

Look for oil stains, damaged insulation, or signs of refrigerant leaks.

✅ 6. Check Electrical Connections

Loose wires or damaged terminals can cause poor performance or equipment failure.

✅ 7. Inspect Fan Motors

Both the indoor blower and outdoor fan should run smoothly without unusual noise or vibration.

✅ 8. Test Cooling Performance

Measure:

Airflow
Supply and return air temperature
Cooling efficiency
Compressor operation
💡 Why Preventive Maintenance Matters

✔ Better Cooling Performance

✔ Lower Electricity Bills

✔ Cleaner Indoor Air

✔ Fewer Unexpected Breakdowns

✔ Longer Air Conditioner Lifespan

❄️ Did You Know? The Modern Air Conditioner Was Invented Over 120 Years Ago!

On July 17, 1902, engineer Willis Carrier changed the world by creating the first modern air conditioning system.

His original goal wasn't simply to cool people—it was to control temperature and humidity inside a printing factory. The result was an invention that transformed homes, hospitals, offices, malls, schools, and industries worldwide.

Today, every time you enjoy a cool room, you're benefiting from the technology that started in 1902.

But even the best air conditioner needs proper maintenance.

✔️ Regular cleaning
✔️ Preventive maintenance
✔️ Refrigerant leak inspection
✔️ Proper installation

These help your aircon stay efficient, save electricity, and last much longer.

At Venz Refrigeration and Airconditioning Services, we don't just clean air conditioners—we help homeowners and businesses protect their investment through professional maintenance and expert repairs.

📍 Serving Pasig City, Metro Manila, and nearby areas.

Ever Wonder How Your Air Conditioner Makes Your Room Cold?

Many people think an air conditioner creates cold air.

The truth? It doesn't.

An air conditioner removes heat from inside your room and releases it outside. That's why the outdoor unit blows out warm air while the indoor unit delivers cool, comfortable air.

Here's how the cooling cycle works:

❄️ 1. Indoor Unit Absorbs Heat

Warm room air passes through the evaporator coil.

The refrigerant inside the coil absorbs the heat from the air.

The air becomes cooler and is blown back into the room.

🔄 2. Refrigerant Carries the Heat

The refrigerant changes into a low-pressure gas after absorbing heat.

It then travels through the copper pipes to the outdoor unit.

⚙️ 3. Compressor Pressurizes the Refrigerant

Inside the outdoor unit, the compressor compresses the refrigerant.

This increases its pressure and temperature, preparing it to release the absorbed heat.

🌬️ 4. Condenser Releases Heat

The outdoor fan blows air across the condenser coil.

The heat collected from your room is released into the outside air.

This is why the outdoor unit feels warm while operating.

💧 5. Refrigerant Cools Down and Repeats the Cycle

After releasing the heat, the refrigerant becomes a liquid again.

It returns to the indoor unit, and the cycle repeats continuously until the desired room temperature is reached.

💡 Did You Know?

Your air conditioner doesn't "make cold."

It moves heat from inside your room to the outside.

That's why proper airflow, clean coils, and regular maintenance are essential for efficient cooling.
