Position Overview
As a Floor Polisher/Scrubber Operator, you are part of Sanitation team.
Job Description
• Completes the daily Floor Polisher/Scrubber machines checklist to ensure equipment is working properly and reports any defects to management and/or maintenance.
• Follows set safety procedures and guidelines to maximize personal safety.
• Operates Floor polisher/Scrubber in a safe manner.
• Operate the Floor Polisher/Scrubber machine to scrub the warehouse docks and aisles routinely and record your progress daily in the log provided to you.
• Clean product spills and wet areas as directed by your supervisor
• Sweep and mop all floors utilizing sweeper
• Clean and perform routine maintenance to the floor polisher/scrubber machine to include cleaning the reservoir and putting in new solution
• Scrub and sweep the warehouse floors daily, occasionally moving machinery to scrub underneath it
• Ensure machines are cleaned daily before storage
• Must have the knowledge and ability to use all types of floor maintenance machines
• Maintains an organized work area and promotes a safe working environment
• Function as a Porter when necessary
• Follows all Company policies and procedures.
• Perform other assigned tasks to you by your supervisor
Skills
I. Specialized Knowledge:
- Ability to operate floor/polisher scrubber and pallet jack and any other required materials handling equipment (MHE).
II. Special Skills:

III. Physical abilities:
1. Occasionally smelling, kneeling, crawling, pivoting, crouching, feeling and talking.
2. Frequently standing and walking on surface type (s): concrete, tile, ceramic. 3. Frequently sitting and stooping.
4. Frequently handling, carrying, pushing, lifting and pulling up to 60 Lbs. 5. Continuously seeing, hearing and repetitive movement using both hands and feet.
6. Must be able to stand or walk on concrete floors throughout your scheduled shift, with occasional overtime.
