Congratulations to the management and employees of Toyo Seat Philippines Corporation for making the transition to clean energy!

WeGen Energy PH formally turned over the high-efficiency 157.50 kWp solar PV system it installed on the manufacturing company's rooftop to the management in a short but sweet ceremony earlier this week in Sta. Rosa, Laguna. The system consists of 252 solar panels and 1 powerful string inverter.

Over the next 25 years, the system will generate approximately 5,176,983 kWh of clean electricity, avoiding an estimated 3,467,000 kilograms of carbon dioxide emissions, which are deadly to the atmosphere as they contribute to destructive climate change, global warming, and pollution.

Thank you so much to Toyo Seat Philippines Corporation for shifting to clean energy! The company will now enjoy significantly lower electricity costs and improved sustainability metrics!

Households and business owners alike suffer the monthly anxiety of opening an electricity bill! We watch electricity rates steadily climb regardless of how carefully we manage our energy consumption. Rates fluctuate, grid costs rise, and traditional power relies on an unpredictable system where we are all forced to pay whatever price is set.

Relying on the conventional power grid means placing our hard-earned money into an endless cycle of rising expenses for power we never truly own.

Solar energy transforms this dynamic by shifting the power back into our hands!
Installing solar panels us to capture clean, renewable energy directly from our roof, turning abundant sunlight into reliable electricity for our daily needs. Instead of remaining vulnerable to unpredictable rate hikes and fluctuating utility costs, generating our own power locks in our energy independence and significantly reduces our reliance on traditional utilities.

Over time, those monthly savings build into substantial financial security while simultaneously increasing the overall value and resilience of our households and businesses!

As part of its 11th-anniversary celebrations, WeGen Energy PH held an outreach activity in Brgy. Mamuyao, Tanay, Rizal last October 23! Its HQ-based staff conducted a tree-planting activity and held two learning sessions on the basics of solar energy and solar PV systems, as well as the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), for community residents and about 70 students from the local elementary school.

The activity coincided with the WeGeneration Initiative's (WGI) Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) signing with leaders of Brgy. Mamuyao and Brgy. Sta. Inez -- also in Tanay-- wherein the NGO declares its commitment to implement a solar energy and climate action program in the two barangays for the next two years. Included in the WGI's commitment is to run a solar co-ownership scheme, wherein the NGO will install solar PV systems in the two communities.

WeGen Energy PH employees learned much from the sharing of Brgy. Mamuyao community leaders regarding life in the barangay, including the difficulties of relying on unstable sources of income such as planting ginger. Despite the challenges that they face, Mamuyao residents are doing their best to raise their children and youth in the best way they can.

The WGI Team included members of PROPEL, or the Pro-People Engineers and Leaders, an NGO of engineers who engage in science education and advocacy work for communities. Their volunteers will be helping the WGI implement the solar program in Mamuyao and Sta. Inez.

All in all, it was a very productive and meaningful day of learning and sharing! As a social good company, WeGen Energy PH is committed to serving marginalized communities by giving free Solar 101 learning sessions and Solar Installation basics. We believe in the importance of teaching solar energy for Filipinos and making solar PV systems more accessible to them.

Here's to 11 years of WeGen Energy PH and more years of service! Thank you to the WGI for facilitating the on-site activities and to WeGen's HR and HRAD Team for the preparations that helped make the whole event a success!

As climate change brings stronger typhoons and unpredictable weather patterns to the Philippines, power grid failures and prolonged blackouts have become an unfortunate reality for many communities.

Being prepared for climate impacts isn't just about emergency kits—it’s about energy resilience.

By installing a high-efficiency rooftop solar system (especially paired with hybrid battery storage), you can keep your family or business powered through power loss or fluctuation events. Keep your lights on, your food fresh, your communication lines open, and your essential appliances running, even when the main grid goes down.

Don't wait for the next brownout to secure your power. Build a climate-ready home today!
