As the weather gets warmer, your refrigerator will have to work harder to keep your food fresh. Here are some tips to help keep your fridge functioning efficiently this summer:

✅Keep the coils clean: Dust and dirt can accumulate on the coils at the back or bottom of your refrigerator, making it work harder to cool down. Use a brush or vacuum to clean them at least once a year.

✅Check the door seals: If the door seals are worn out or loose, cool air can escape from your refrigerator, making it work harder to maintain the desired temperature. Check the seals regularly and replace them if necessary.

✅Keep the fridge full: Your refrigerator works more efficiently when it's full because there's less air to cool down. If you don't have enough food, consider using jugs of water to fill the space.

✅Don't overcrowd the fridge: On the other hand, if your refrigerator is too full, air won't circulate properly, and some areas may not get enough cool air. Make sure there's enough space between items.

✅Set the right temperature: Your refrigerator should be set between 35°F and 38°F, while your freezer should be set between 0°F and 5°F. Use a thermometer to check the temperature and adjust the settings if necessary.
