The National University Nazareth School (NUNS) ABM Work Immersion Program at First Eduspec Inc. (FEI) which spanned from April 8 until April 22, 2026, marked a powerful milestone in shaping future business leaders and innovators.

🚀 Empowering San Bedan Future Innovators through Real-World Experience

Sixty-two (62) ICT/Computer Programming students of San Beda College Alabang successfully completed their Work Immersion with First Eduspec Inc. (FEI) last April 7, 2026. This milestone marks the first-ever Work Immersion collaboration between FEI and San Beda College Alabang—a meaningful beginning of a partnership grounded in shared excellence in education, innovation, and future-ready learning.

From building robots and coding using Arduino & SAM Labs, to competing in exciting VEX IQ Sumo tournaments, students were immersed in a dynamic and collaborative environment that mirrors real-world industry practices.

Beyond technical competencies, students cultivated essential life values—discipline, responsibility, communication, and resilience—equipping them for college and future career pathways.
During the immersion, students were organized into three specialized groups under the guidance of dedicated FEI mentors:

🔹 STEM Educators Group – Ms. Primalou Lucido
🔹 Technical Team Group – Mr. Joshua Marasigan
🔹 Learning & Innovation Unit (LIU) – Mr. Christian Cabadongga

This initiative stands as a testament to the strong collaboration between both institutions. The entire FEI management, led by Mr. Willard Paras, General Manager, worked closely with the school to ensure the seamless planning and successful implementation of the immersion program—creating a meaningful and impactful learning experience for every student.

We extend our heartfelt appreciation to the leadership of San Beda College Alabang—Rev. Fr. Gerardo Ma. De Villa, OSB, Rector President; Ms. Jeana A. Ariola, PhD, Director for Basic Education; and Mr. Wilbert Aurner B. Namoc, PhD, Principal of the Integrated Basic Education and Technical High School Department—for their unwavering support and commitment in making this collaboration a success.

When Pope Francis was elected in 2013, many dubbed him the “scientist pope,” owing to his background in chemistry and his work as a chemical technician before entering the priesthood. Continuing this uncommon legacy, his successor, Pope Leo XIV, also brings a STEM foundation to the papacy, having been trained as a mathematician.

While many popes traditionally began their journeys in canon law and theology, a notable few first walked paths in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics before fully embracing their spiritual vocation. Pope Leo XIV stands as a compelling modern example of how analytical thinking and deep faith can coexist in shaping Church leadership.

Although history often highlights tensions between science and the Catholic Church, their relationship is far more interconnected than commonly perceived. These popes remind us that faith and science are not opposing forces, but complementary ways of seeking truth.

We are grateful for the success of the STEAM Ed Conference + Benchmarking: The School of the Future, held last March 6, 2026 at San Beda College Alabang.

The event brought together school leaders, educators, and innovators from different institutions to explore how schools can prepare learners for a rapidly evolving world through STEAM, robotics, AI readiness, and future-focused education.

Participants had the opportunity to:

📚 Day 1 at the Philippine Book Festival 2026! 🚀

First Eduspec, Inc., a proud subsidiary of Rex Education, successfully kicked off Day 1 at the Philippine Book Festival 2026 at the Megatrade Hall, SM Megamall!

Today, we had the privilege of conducting an engaging Presentation and Workshop for an amazing audience composed of book enthusiasts, educators, and DepEd supervisors who share the same passion for transforming education for the future.

Through the session, we showcased how STEAM education, robotics, and emerging technologies can be integrated into learning environments to develop future-ready learners equipped with critical thinking, creativity, and computational skills. 🤖💡

It was inspiring to see participants actively engage in discussions and hands-on exploration of how technology and education can work together to shape the School of the Future.
