The National Institute of Geological Sciences brings you the 21st NIGS Research Symposium with the theme “Powering the Future: The Role of Geology in Philippine Energy Sustainability” this October 28-29, 2026.

This year’s NIGSCon aims to highlight research that explores how Earth’s resources, materials, and processes can help shape a more sustainable energy future. It will also feature the latest research findings, developments, and emerging trends in petrography, geochemistry, mineral and energy resources, tectonics, stratigraphy, paleontology, surface processes, geological hazards, and interdisciplinary geosciences.
