First Gen Power Camp This program is a 5-day live-in course aimed at educating students about Power in the Philippine Context. How do we generate energy and from what sources?

Throughout this course, participants will discover the technical, social, economic and political issues related to the management of energy in the Philippines. The students will attend various discussions and tours during the week, such as:

What does the Power Industry look like in the Philippine Context? How do we create a financial model to predict future energy requirements and business perfor

mance? How do we achieve economic growth through energy with adequate protection of the country's biological resources and its diversity, vital ecosystem functions, and overall environmental quality? What does the future of energy look like? A key component of this course will be the plant tours in Batangas and Nueva Ecija where the students will explore our gas and hydro plant facilities. Students will get the chance to meet with Power experts and leaders. They will also get the opportunity to see how First Gen has protected biological resources surrounding the site. The course will introduce the basics of energy through discussions and lectures led by energy professionals. The students will also join First Gen’s senior business leaders in a forum about careers in the Power sector. The students will have their culminating activity on July 25. Travel, food and accommodation expenses, excluding incidentals, of the participants within the confines of the program will be provided by First Gen.
